THE POKEY HOLE
is a live music club based at The Miners Welfare Club in the village of Moira, South Derbyshire
(See the directions page for how to find us). We
offer great live music on a monthly basis featuring
many well known artists as well as emerging new
talent.
We are 3 miles from Junction
11 of the M42. There is plenty of free parking.
There is a licensed bar at all events with a good
stock of beers and wines. Guest beers and real ales
are usually available too. And don’t forget
to try the famous Pokey Hole Cheese & Onion
Cobs!
We think our little club is
unique and very special. There's a wonderful friendly
atmosphere that both artists and audiences can appreciate.
All of our indoor events are
non-smoking.
During the summer months we
hold our gigs at the superb CONKERS amphitheatre,
Bath Lane, Moira.
This is a marvellous outdoor facility - but fully
protected from the elements! - The acts we have
promoted at Conkers all agree that it is probably
the best outdoor venue of its size in the UK.
Tickets are bookable for all
events; telephone Pete or Marcia on: 01283 760265
or Sharan on 01283 763735
For regular visitors to our
club we operate a successful membership scheme.
This means you can save money on ticket prices!
- call us if you're interested in joining.
