The club is based in the South Derbyshire village of Moira and is about 10 minutes from Burton-on-Trent or Ashby-de-la-Zouch. It is just a couple of miles from junction 11 of the M42 and is within 30 minutes or so of Leicester, Nottingham, Birmingham and Derby.

From Burton-on-Trent:
Take the A444 out of Burton heading towards the M42. Travel as far as Overseal, continue past the Robin Hood and the church, after approximately 400yards  turn left into Moira Road (signposted Moira/Conkers) and continue for approximately 1 mile. The Pokey Hole/Miners Welfare Club is on the right hand side of the road, opposite the entrance to Conkers

From Junction 11 of the M42:
Head down the A444 towards Burton-On-Trent. After approximately 3 miles turn right into Moira Road (signposted Moira/Conkers) and continue for approximately 1 mile. The Pokey Hole/Miners Welfare Club is on the right hand side of the road, opposite the entrance to Conkers
